A4 - May Town Hall: Kinship
This May, we’re hosting a Town Hall centered on kinship. Artists, collectives, and mutual support networks are invited to discuss themes of family, friendship, and belonging and to share projects, resources, and opportunities with the AAPI creative community and to make connections.
Featured presenters include Anjali Goyal, board member of the South Asian Womxn’s Creative Collective (SAWCC), a volunteer-run organization dedicated to the advancement, visibility, and development of emerging and established South Asian womxn artists and creative professionals by providing a physical and virtual space to profile their work across disciplines.
We’ll also hear from Sarah Machiko Haber, the programs and membership director of the Consortium of Asian American Theaters and Artists (CAATA), whose mission is to advance the field of AANHPI, SWANA, MENA, and mixed race theater through a national network of organizations and artists.
Additionally, the evening will feature a line-up of brief pitches from the community. After the presentations, we’ll host a potluck meal, so please bring something to share; homemade or store bought items are welcome.
This event is FREE and open to the public. RSVP is required to attend and/or pitch, but you do not have to pitch to attend.
